Entry Three: Expanding Travel Case
Origins 2023 was one of the first “larger” conventions I brought Everstone to give it some exposure to the concept and get some public testing done with strangers in the hobby space. I’d managed to get one of the last time slots in the UnPub room, an area specific for unpublished titles, to have the games set up to get tested and receive feedback from those attending the convention. I was anxious about the experience, but It went way better than expected.
The Expanding Travel Case was one of the first prompts I got from testing Everstone during my time slot in the UnPub room. The suggestion was broad but pointed the card toward being a box or vessel with infinite space on the inside. As I took the suggestion down, it reminded me of Mary Poppin’s bag, one of my favorite movies to watch growing up. This is how we ended up with our first relic with two different easter eggs baked into one card concept.
